Filmed at Liverpool Military Camp (Sydney) in 1941 and using national servicemen to lend authenticity, this film was one of many sponsored by the federal government during World War II to boost armed forces recruitment. The film also features recognisable actors of the day including Grant Taylor, Shirley Ann Richards and John Fleeting, who had appeared for director Ken G Hall in feataure films made by the Sydney-based Cinesound Productions.

Breaking into the vault of Midlandbank! One of the night watchmen is shot, the unknown perpetrator can escape with the loot - around two and a half million. A $100,000 reward is being offered for the capture of the murderer. Meanwhile, two detectives are shadowing the luxury villa of Franklin Aldin and Sissi Hendersen, who seem suspicious to them, especially since they are not unknown to the police. Their staff, who have only been with them for about a month, are also highly suspect. There is the pretty maid Lila, who until recently worked as a lawyer, the house servant Andy, who has more skills than he would need as a servant, and the cook Fil, a motherly lady who also has multiple criminal records. In $100,000 Pyramid, contestants are in teams of two. The goal of the game is to help your partner guess an answer, by listing items that would be included in said answer, or synonymous. For instance, if the answer is “Things That Bounce”, clues would be “Po-Go Sticks”, “Kangaroos”, “Basketballs”, etc. To add to the challenge, the contestant who is giving the clues has their hands strapped to their chair, so they’re unable to gesture in order to help the guessing process.
